The campsite

Camping de l’Amandier nestles in the Alpes de Haute Provence, on the edge of the Hautes Alpes, in the heart of exceptional nature. Bordered by a torrent and shaded, at an altitude of 900 meters, it is ideal for enjoying the fresh air of our mountains and for welcoming couples, families with children and all lovers of alpine adventures.

The locality of Gigors is a village with undeniable charm. Its dry stone houses and its southern exposure are influenced by the Alpine and Mediterranean climates so typical of the Southern Alps.

Open from April to October (depending on weather conditions), its geographical location is ideal for visiting the region on hikes or for a swim in its swimming pool or the Lac de Serre-Ponçon located a few kilometers away.

Chalets, mobile homes and plaice are available for hire as well as shaded pitches provided for campers in tents, caravans or motorhomes (thirty in total). Drinking water points and electrical terminals available at strategic locations in the campsite.

The sanitary blocks, equipped with showers with hot water, washbasins and toilets are equipped with dishwashing and laundry tubs as well as a washing machine.

A parking lot welcomes your vehicles at the entrance of the campsite.

The Bar-Restaurant welcomes you for delicious meals prepared on site or for a drink with friends or family. Roast chickens and pizzas to take away or eat in every day and themed meals every week in season.

Breads and pastries to order the day before for the next day in season.

The campsite is equipped with a large swimming pool with sunbeds, a playground for children and a bowling alley.

About fifteen kilometers away, the Lac de Serre-Ponçon is ideal for swimming and water sports. Hikers will be delighted by the many marked paths around Gigors and beyond. Via-ferrata enthusiasts can get their fill of adrenaline at the La Grande Fistoire site located near Cairo, 15 minutes from the campsite.

Bel’Âne with its donkey breeding and walks will delight young and old alike.

The cities of Sisteron, Gap, Savine-Le-Lac, Barcelonnette, Embrun, Briançon and Digne-Les Bains will quench your thirst for culture and history.
